The Los Angeles Dodgers remain committed to Max Muncy despite his struggles through the year.

The Dodgers agreed to terms with Muncy on a one-year contract extension with a club option for a second season worth $10 million.

Muncy is hitting.190/.326/.386 with 16 home runs and 47 runs scored.

Muncy hurt his elbow in the last game of the year, ending his season. One of the best seasons of his career was put together by the 31-year-old, who earned his second All-Star selection and finished with 36 home runs and 94RBI. The Dodgers lost to the Atlanta Braves in the NLCS without him.

Muncy helped lead the Dodgers to a World Series title in 2020.

The Dodgers have been the best team in baseball this season despite the struggles of one of their everyday players. The Los Angeles Dodgers are the best team in the majors with a record of 84-36.

The Dodgers will play the Brewers on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Muncy will be in the middle of the lineup.
