  • The FBI raided Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort.

  • He was a publisher and a real estate mogul after he graduated from Harvard.

  • He helped her father win the presidency, and then wed her.

The man is tougher than he appears.

The 41-year-old was part of Trump's closest circle of White House aides and an important part of the Trump family through his marriage to the former president's daughter.

It's possible that his family's political background made him an unlikely candidate for a position in the previous administration. He is a descendant of a New York family that made its money in real estate.

After graduating from Harvard and New York University, he became a real estate magnate and publisher of the New York Observer. Even though he doesn't speak much, he became a national figure in the process of his father-in-law's ascendance.

The unflappable golden exterior is what makes someone unafraid to bungee jump or counter punch when they feel slighted.

The former first-son-in-law broke his silence on the FBI raid at Mar-a-Lago.

"They always over pursue him and make mistakes in trying to get him, and that's what happened here, because Trump drove his enemies so crazy," he said.

There was a lot of speculation that he could have been a mole in the FBI.

This is how the man rose to the top of American politics.
