The Los Angeles Rams gave Matthew Stafford some time off during training camp this year due to some issues with his elbow, which surely perked up the ears of fantasy football players, but it seems it was nothing more than precautionary.

Sean McVay told Peter King of Pro Football Talk that Matthew Stafford looked similar to him. Throwing it all over the yard is not restricted.

Stafford didn't downplay the situation.

He said that it wasn't a big deal last year. We just want to be smart. I'm okay.

In the 2021 season, Stafford threw for 4,886 yards, 41 touchdown passes and 17 interceptions while completing 65.2% of his passes. It was the best season of his career and culminated in a Super Bowl title.

The situation is manageable and the Rams are just playing it safe this summer. He can still be considered a low end QB1.
