An innovative system that records each participant's channel locally before uploading it to the server has made Zencastr my go-to platform for podcasts. It is a quick way to make sure your guests have better sound quality than non-purpose built platforms, without forcing them to record locally.

When the platform added video, I was able to make eye contact with guests even if that video never left the Zencastr server.

When it comes to Zencastr's ambitions, recording has always been the main point of contact. The startup raised $4.1 million in the first half of the 21st century. A kind of end-to-end podcasting solution starts with the ability to record video in 4K, edit video and audio, distribute through the major players and monetize with ads.

Zencastr's platform is a step closer to what Anchor has been offering for some time, but with a more platform-agnostic approach.

The service will be available through tiered pricing, similar to Zencastr's current plans, but with an added "Growth" category. An hour of post-production and 90 days of recording storage are included in the basic free plan. At $29 a month, Professional gets you Smart Filter editing, unlimited master storage, and English transcriptions. 4K video, an ad manager and other features are part of Growth.

Like Anchor, the editing tools are for beginners and won't replace the more advanced software suites used by professionals.

Adrian Lopez says that the company planted a flag to make editing as painless as possible for a lot of creators. Users can use it to make more narrative cuts in their preferred software. We want to build and expand on this. Over the last few years, we've invested in a lot of artificial intelligence. It helps them get started.

The system uses RSS to distribute the show to major players in the podcasting industry. Zencastr connects hosts with advertisers. Most of the podcasts are not profitable. Josh said it was really surprising. There is a lot of great, niche content out there, and podcast ads are 4.5 times more effective than display ads.

The company says it is working on compatibility as well.

It has to be a modern version in order for us to support it. It can't be on old computers. We constantly try to add more compatibility. Some solutions will be added later in the year that will allow people to access the service in a different way.
