The gauntlet will be thrown to Apple, Bose, and Sony in the premium ANC headphones market by Sennheiser this week.

The new Momentum 4's have 60 hours of listening time on a single charge and a complete redesign of the company's flagship line for better comfort and less "clamping."

The leather and metal exterior have been replaced by a plastic design with ear cups that are flat when stowed. A touch panel on the right cup that responds to gestures is one of the things that has been removed.

The headphones feature a transparency mode and improved adaptive noise canceling, according to the manufacturer. The headphones have an automatic power off feature that kicks in when the cans are removed, and there is a quick charge feature that provides six hours of use in 10 minutes.

Users can tailor their audio experience using the built-in EQ, preset, sounds modes, and a new Sound Personalization feature. Multipoint on the Momentum 4's can connect two devices at the same time, such as an Apple device for music and a Mac device for video calls, and the headphones come with a new hardshell case.

The Momentum 4 headphones are available in cream and black colors, and can be pre-ordered now from the company's website for $349.95, which is $50 less than the Momentum 3's were at launch. They will face off against Bose's 700 headphones and Apple's AirPods Max.
