The inspector general of the Islamabad Police and a female judge were threatened by Khan in a speech he delivered on Saturday in the capital.

Khan told his supporters that he would not spare the police chief and the judge for torturing Shahbaz Gill, who was arrested last week.

After reports of the charges against the former prime minister became public, his party warned that his arrest would cross a red line, causing a large number of his supporters to gather near his house.

The Islamabad High Court granted protective bail to Khan on Monday and he will not be arrested until Thursday.

The former prime minister could face several years in prison if he is found guilty on the terror charges.
