Marcus Rashford has called on the Man United squad to come together and bounce back from their heavy defeat at the hands of the Bees with a win over the Reds.

United were thrashed by four goals in west London last weekend and have lost their first two games of the season.

Despite the team's struggles in the early weeks of the season, Marcus Rashford is confident that they can get up and running for the season.

"We have a chance to put it right and there's no better game to do that than the one against the Reds," said the teenager.

It will be positive for us if we can play well and get a win.

The forward was asked if United have always worked as a unit this season.

We need to do it for a long time. In a 90-minute game, it can bring you different challenges, but as long as we're all together, I'm confident we can deal with it. The quicker we do that, the better.

We just want to get points on the board. We will get a feel for winning again once we start the season.

Hard work and a positive response to the situation can return United to their previous levels, according to Marcus Rashford.

He said it had been difficult. We did not reach the heights we could have. We did not meet the standard we are capable of.

Right now, the team is a work in progress and we have to keep pushing ourselves. If we keep doing that, we will get back to winning ways.

The next step is from second to champion. If you aren't there, you can be so close. It can be larger than what it feels like. Two years ago we were competing against the best teams in the league, and we can't forget about that.

We were having fun playing against those teams. It's important to try to get that feeling back.

You have to believe you are going to win the game. Belief and confidence in the team and tactics is the most important thing. It is necessary for us to have that.

Football is not predictable. The reaction has to be positive when things go wrong. It's early in the season and we're still pushing towards something despite not starting the season as we would have liked.

The season can be a good one. Everyone always over-exaggerates someone's performance but for us, we have to stay focused on the game at hand. We can't look back and we can't look forward. We have to stay positive and be ready for the next game.

He scored just four goals in the league last year, his lowest total since he burst onto the scene. He believes his determination to play with injuries may have affected his form but he is confident that United will return to their previous standard.

He said that injuries probably affected him. At the end of the day, a lot of those decisions were mine. I should have taken time out and rested because I was playing for a long time with these injuries. I will always try and be positive for the team.

Once I start putting the ball in the net again, it will be a feeling that will last for a while.

When asked if he would return United to the successful days, he said yes.

That is a non-negotiable for me. One thing that has to remain the same is your dedication and your commitment to training and the games, your situation at the club always changes, sometimes you have good spells, sometimes you aren't, but the one thing that has to remain the same is your dedication and your commitment to training

I have to give 100 percent for myself, my family, friends and the fans.

I've always wanted to stay at Man United for as long as possible and be a part of the trophy winning team. We want to get back to doing that. I'm pushing to do that.
