Mark Canha hit two homers and drove in five runs as the New York Mets beat Philadelphia 10-9.

Fisher said it's pretty weird right now. I'm so grateful for the chance. It has yet to sink in.

Fisher walked two and allowed one hit.

He said this was his dream.

After graduating from the University of Nebraska, the left-handed pitcher went to Class A for the SeattleMariners in 2019.

Fisher followed a former coach into banking in 2020 in his hometown of Omaha because of the uncertainty of COVID-19. Fisher went all the way to Triple-A after he re-signed with theMariners.

Fisher was 1-2 with a 3.12 earned run average in 12 games at Triple-A Syracuse before he was called up by the Mets.

Buck Showalter said it was cool.

More than a few people were surprised when Fisher entered.

Canha didn't know who this guy was when he arrived.

After walking Kyle Schwarber, he was forced to sit out a rain delay. Fisher faced the minimum in the seventh after returning and getting three straight outs.

It was a normal day at work for Fisher.

The work environment might be tougher.

He joked that those days can get long at the bank.
