The father of the Little League World Series player who seriously injured his head when he fell out of his top bunk in the dorms said there is a chance he can make a full recovery.

Jace Oliverson told The Associated Press that his son Easton was going to be in a hospital in Utah for a while.

Oliverson was told that he had a zero percent chance of living. We are very lucky.

Easton Oliverson, a pitcher and outfielder for the Snow Canyon team, was injured on Monday.

Oliverson said there was a chance of a full recovery. It's just a matter of how long the therapy is. We are just asking for help. Prayers continuously.

The Snow Canyon team was eliminated from the Little League World Series on Sunday with a 10-2 loss to the team from Iowa.

The traumatic week played a part in the two losses, according to Oliverson.

Oliverson said he felt bad that the incident with East had to happen. Utah has never been here before. In Utah it's a big deal.

The Oliverson family has kept Easton's condition constant on social media with photos of the boy in a wheelchair and wearing baseball T-shirts, posing for pictures with his family and friends. From his hospital bed, he watched the Little League World Series game. A video showing Easton drinking and feeding himself was attached to a recent post.

Jace Oliverson told the AP that they wanted to show that miracles can still happen. We want people to know that we have a loving, heavenly Father and a Savior who wants us to be happy. Anything is possible if we just go to them in prayer.

The family has set up an account for the child known as "Tank" on the payment service.

Mark Ence, the manager for Snow Canyon, was on the phone with Easton.

Ence said he wasn't familiar with the recovery process. He is getting better. The family wanted to let everyone know that they are grateful for the thoughts and prayers and that the prayers are working.

Oliverson and Easton were both wearing team identification badges as Snow Canyon walked into the field for the Little League Classic.

Oliverson held the hand of his 10-year-old son, who was on the Little League World Series roster. "Go tank" was written on his cleats.

Jace Oliverson said they wanted to relax and have fun. The week has been crazy.
