After losing to Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia on Saturday, Anthony Joshua let his emotions get the better of him.
The Briton picked up two of Usyk's belts, dropped them out of the ring and headed to the dressing room.
Joshua said he let himself down.
The 32-year-old confronted Usyk after he returned to the ring. What is the way? I was determined and had character.
Joshua picked up the microphone and gave a speech in which he talked about his weaknesses as a boxer.
He talked about his troubles with police as a teenager, the war in Ukraine, his career and led the crowd in saluting Usyk.
Joshua said he acted that way because he was angry at himself. He said that you might do stupid things when you are angry.
In his tweets on Sunday, he wished Usyk, who also beat him on points last September in London, "continued success in your quest for greatness".
He said you are a class act. I had to go into a dark place to compete for the belts. I had two fights, one with Usyk and one with my emotions, and both ended in defeat.
I let myself down. When I acted out of passion and emotion, it was not good. I will be better from this point on because I love this sport. It's respectful.
After winning his first 22 professional fights, Joshua lost three of them for world titles.
Joshua wants to return to the ring in December.
Eddie Hearn wants him to have at least three or four fights next year in order to become a three-time world champion.
Joshua asked Eddie if it was possible to get out in November because of the importance of the fight.
It's come one, come all if it's about my opponent. I don't care who gets it.
