Following the FBI's raid on former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence, Texas Republican Rep. Dan Crenshaw rebuked some of the crazy rhetoric coming from his own party.
The congressman cited comments like the one made by Marjorie Taylor Greene, who called for the FBI to be defunded.
It's insane. It makes us look like extremists. If Marjorie and AOC want, they can join the defund the law enforcement club.
The majority of Republicans are not on the same train as Greene.
Accountability is what we desire. He said that they wanted transparency.
He said the criticism from a majority of Republicans was justified, but the rhetoric that led to attacks on the FBI was not.
That's not right. He said that the vast majority of Republicans are not at that point.
Democrats and Republicans are treated differently in the way they are treated.
I will tell you what frustrates Republicans when they hear that kind of criticism, last time I checked, the White House had even said that people should protest in front of Supreme Court justices' homes.
There's a double standard that the Republicans don't like. It doesn't work out. I like to be on the right side of things.
