DC teased that the Justice Society of America would return to comics after being wiped out by the New 52. They have appeared in some comics in the past, but have mostly lived on through expanded media like the CW, which featured two versions of the team in Tomorrow and Stargirl. The team will get its biggest push by far in October, when Black Adam will bring the team to life so that they can form a tenuous alliance with one another. It is the perfect time for DC's original super team to return to their original medium.
The Justice Society of America #1 was announced during DC's solicitations for this November. The Time Masters, led by Rip Hunter, have a part to play in the new enemy that the team will face in the third issue.
In a statement to DC, Johns said that there would be familiar faces like Alan Scott's Green Lantern and Jay Garrick's Flash on the roster. Montez and Chapel are both on the Stargirl version of theJSA. A new hero would join the team and inherit a mantle from the Golden Age of comics. The hero in question is Huntress, who is featured on the cover and has been a frequent member of the JSCA.
As he is also writing a Stargirl series, he is putting all his eggs in the nostalgia basket. In The Lost Children, Stargirl and Red Arrow will look for teen heroes from DC's Golden Age who may have been taken by a villain.
"There's nothing I get more gratitude from than continuing the legacy of my sister with Stargirl." DC's secret Golden Age of teenage heroes will be introduced in a fun mini- event with Todd.
Batman, Superman, Captain America, and Wonder Woman are some of the comic book heroes we know today, thanks to the era of American comics from 1938-1955. The plan is for these and future titles to celebrate and expand the history of heroism in the DC Universe and focus on more obscure heroes from the company's past. It is the story of where superhero came from, where they are going, and why they are needed.
The one-shot for DC's "New Golden Age" will be released on November 8. Justice Society of America #1 and Stargirl: The Lost Children #1 will be released in November.
