The price of its Full-Self Driving software is going to increase. The new price will be in effect in North America on September 5th.

Musk says drivers who order before September 5 will not have to pay the new price. The price hike comes as the company begins to roll out a new version of its software. It is not clear if the price of its subscription will be raised.

After wide release of FSD Beta 10.69.2, price of FSD will rise to $15k in North America on September 5th.

Drivers can use the software to navigate to and from specific destinations, as well as other driver assist features. Drivers need to keep their hands on the wheel and pay attention to the road in order for a vehicle to be fully self-sufficient.

Over the years, the price of the FSD has crept up, and cost $5,000 when it was first launched. The price of the fsd was raised to $10,000 in October 2020 when it was rolled out to a small group of customers. The price of the car was increased to $12,000 earlier this year after the company began opening it to more people.

Musk said that the value of the cars will increase as they get more features. As the software gets closer to full self-driving capability, Musk claimed that the value of the software could reach over $100,000.

California's Department of Motor Vehicles accusedTesla of making "untrue or misleading claims" about its vehicles' self- driving capabilities. The names Autopilot and FSD could be used to deceive users into thinking that the vehicles can operate autonomously, according to the Department of Motor Vehicles.

The Federal Trade Commission was asked to investigate the way the company advertises its products. The two lawmakers sent a letter to Musk expressing their concerns over the driver assist system, which the company responded to by saying it can help customers drive safer than the average driver.
