According to a poll taken after the FBI raided Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate, most Americans think the investigations should continue.
According to an NBC News survey, over half of registered voters think the probes into alleged wrongdoing by Trump should continue.
The opinions of voters were based on their political party affiliation, with 98% of Democrats, 61% of independents and only 21% of Republicans agreeing the investigations should continue.
The poll was conducted after a raid on the former president's Florida residence and Rudy Giuliani revealing he has been targeted in a Georgia grand jury investigation into election interference and after the Trump Organization's CFO pleaded guilty to criminal tax fraud charges
There are multiple state and federal investigations of Trump and his associates. FBI agents executed a search warrant at Mar-a-Lago earlier this month as part of an investigation into the handling of White House documents by the former president. He has been implicated in an ongoing congressional investigation into the January 6 Capitol riots, when Trump's supporters laid siege to Congress, and federal prosecutors have asked questions about Trump's efforts to reverse his election loss. The New York Attorney General is looking into whether Trump's business inflated the value of his assets in a scheme to obtain loans and tax breaks under false pretenses, and the Manhattan district attorney has criminally investigated the Trump Organization's financial practices. The prosecutor in Georgia is looking into false allegations of voter fraud made in the wake of the 2020 presidential election.
A majority of voters think investigations into Trump should continue.
