Bears' Soldier Field to Have New Grass for Season Opener vs. 49ers Following Concerns

There are other concerns for the Chicago Bears.

There has been a lot of criticism of the grass at Soldier Field. Plans are in place to fix it before the opener.

Soldier Field management said in a statement that the field will be resodding in September using a new grass system requested by the Bears.

The Chicago Fire play in the stadium where concerts and events are held.

After the game, Fields said he was glad it was better than earlier in the week.

The Bears are looking to move to Arlington Heights, Illinois, while the city of Chicago is considering renovations to Soldier Field.
