Six local counties under Spotted Lanternfly Quarantine order; here’s what that means

There are currently six counties under a spotted lanternflyQuarantine order.

Businesses need to get a permit if they want to move objects that can cause trouble in the future.

The counties under the order are western Pennsylvania.

The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture has a list of examples.

• Construction waste or landscaping waste.

• Any part of a tree.

• Any species of fire wood.

• The grapevines can be used as nursery stock.

• There are nursery stock items.

• There are packing materials such as pots.

• Outside household articles include recreational vehicles, tractor and mower, grills and furniture, tarps, mobile homes, tile, stone, deck boards, mobile fire pits, any associated equipment and vehicles not stored indoors.
