Leon Edwards knocks out Kamaru Usman
Edwards inflicted the first defeat of Usman's UFC career

LeonEdwards knocked out Kamaru Usman to win the title at the UFC.

Nigeria's pound-for-pound number one fighter was stunned in the fifth by a left high- kick fromEdwards.

It is the first British champion in two years and only the second ever.

"Look at me now, you all thought I couldn't do it," said the man.

I'm from the frontlines. This is how I'm built. I have been doubted my entire life.

The 35-year-old's 15-fight winning streak in the UFC came to an end when he was defeated by Edward in the second round.

Seven years ago, he lost to Usman, but now he's won 10 in a row.

The first fight was won by Usman because he used his wrestling to control the majority of the fight.

From the start of the second fight, the improvements made to his wrestling were obvious.

He became the first fighter in UFC history to take down a Nigerian in the first round.

The fighter was told at the end of the round to get his hands moving.

The champion landed an easy takedown in the fourth and continued to control the fight.

Going into the fifth, the British man needed something special.

He lured the Nigerian's head to the side before landing a clean high kick that left him stunned.

As he jumped on the cage, the enormity of what he had accomplished began to sink in.

Rogan said the kick which ended the fight was possibly the best he's seen in the UFC and that it was the biggest upset of all time.

There's more to come.
