The International Space Station's cargo ship returned to Earth with a splashdown on Saturday.
The Dragon space capsule returned to Earth on time. After just over a month at the space station, it's time to leave.
The 25th mission to the space station was completed with the splashdown of the Dragon. There were no live views or images of the splashdown.
The critical science aboard the Dragon will be transported via helicopter to the Kennedy Space Center once it is retrieved by the recovery team.
The Dragon's arrival at the station came two days after the launch from KSC. Science experiments, crew supplies and other critical cargo were delivered.
The Dragon spaceship left the space station on Friday and will return to Earth on Saturday with a load of science gear. The results of many experiments on the station were included in the cargo.
NASA has a multi-billion dollar contract with the company to ferry supplies to and from the International Space Station. Sierra Nevada Space Systems was tapped to provide similar services for NASA with its planned Dream Chaser space plane, which is one of two U.S. companies currently flying missions to the station.
The European Space Agency and Japan have both flown their own cargo ships in the past.
There are seven astronauts on the space station. The crew is made up of Americans, Russians, and Europeans. The Crew Dragon was used to launch four astronauts for NASA.
The next crew to the space station will be launched in September.
