The woman accused of stealing Nancy Pelosi's laptop during the Capitol riot has a lucky break.
Riley June Williams was allowed to go to the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire.
The woman has been under home confinement for more than a year.
A Pennsylvania woman accused of stealing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's laptop during the Capitol riot will be temporarily released from house arrest so she can attend a Renaissance fair this weekend.
Riley June Williams, who has been indicted on a slew of charges in connection to the deadly insurrection at the US Capitol, was given the green light by a federal judge to break her house arrest to attend the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire on Sunday.
The woman has been under home confinement for more than a year.
Williams will be allowed to attend the fair for eight hours, from 10 a.m. until 6 a.m. on Sunday.
Lawyers for Williams didn't reply to questions on Friday.
Williams was involved in the Capitol riot according to an affidavit.
According to the affidavit against Williams, the ex-lover told the authorities that Williams stole the laptop and was going to sell it to Russians.
Authorities say that Williams wrote on the social media site that he stabbed Nancy Pelosi.
Williams allegedly posted that he didn't want hard drives to kill him.
It was regrettable that Williams took Trump's bait and went inside the Capitol, but she wasn't responsible for the laptop theft.
