Mignogna later sued his employer Funimation, along with fellow voice actors Monica Rial and Jamie Marchi, along with Rial's partner. Mignogna had to appeal after the suit was dismissed. Mignogna may have to pay more legal fees to the defendants after losing that appeal.

The voice actor didn't have enough evidence to prove that the allegations against him were false. He was ordered to pay $250,000 in attorney fees to Funimation, Rial, Marchi, and Toye. The courts are trying to figure out what he owes.

Justice Mike Wallach said that the trial court's judgment was affirmed except for the attorney's-fee amount awarded to Ronald Toye. The trial court needs to redetermine the attorney's-fee issue.

Rial thanked everyone for the support she's received over the years. I have been a part of the community for over two decades. It is time to move forward, heal, and celebrate.

Multiple voice actors have spoken out against Mignogna, but he has maintained his innocence. He hasn't disappeared from the spotlight like other men in his position, as he was recently at Houston'sAnime Matsuri.
