Michigan's Republican nominee for governor said in an interview that she believes there's a bond between a rape victim and a child born from sexual assault.

When asked if she would support a 14-year-old rape victim getting an abortion, nominee TudorDixon said she had spent time talking with the children of rape victims and believed their birth provides a sense of healing.

She said in the interview that the bond that those two people made is something that we don't think about.

The babies of rape victims are some of the strongest voices you can hear. She said it was difficult to not stand up for those people.

At a campaign stop earlier this month,Dixon made an alarming argument in favor of ending abortion, stating that it creates a safe haven for any type of predator out there.
