A video posted by a driver shows his car's autopilot system confused a horse-drawn carriage for a truck

The video, posted by Swiss YouTuber RealRusty, shows his car approaching a horse-drawn carriage on a highway before it's mistaken for other modes of transportation.

The system identifies the carriage as a car, a human, a human walking behind a truck, and a truck on its own.

At one point, when the carriage is mistaken for a truck, it is shown spinning around as if it is going to collide with a car.

There was a horse-drawn carriage in front of us as we drove our car. We stayed behind and watched as the visualization tried to spot it.

He said that starting with a motorcycle, to a car, to a truck, it was all there. We used the phone to record it all.

The company didn't reply to the request for comment.

The function of the car's autopilot is to detect vehicles, pedestrians, and other objects in the car's vicinity and take evasive action if necessary.

It's not clear if the horse-drawn carriage was included in the design of the system.
