The signing of the Inflation Reduction Act by P resident Biden is a big deal for the electric vehicle industry as it creates new incentives for both new and used cars and trucks. Vehicles that get the credit have to be built in the U.S., need to cost less than $80,000 and have batteries made in the U.S. or countries that have free-trade agreements with it. Only buyers with household incomes less than $300,000 can get the new credit. If you're below the income threshold, you can still get the previous $7,500 tax credit.
