During the Astros game against the Braves in Atlanta, Yordan was taken to a local hospital because he felt unwell.

The smoke in the air after the Braves shot off fireworks at Truist Park made it worse for the Astros' catcher, according to the manager.

Doctors are analyzing him, Baker said. All his vitals are okay. He needs to see our doctor. The smoke from the fireworks made it worse for him.

In the bottom of the fifth, he left the game under his own power. There was a pause in the game when the Braves' first baseman hit a ball off his foot and was being attended to by a trainer.

He took a break for the Houston bench.

Baker said he was glad they got him out. He was in the bench area. It was a bit frightening. It might be something. He's doing well at the moment, according to them.

Baker said no one in the Astros' dugout was aware of what was going on with the All-Star outfielder.

Baker said they did not see anything. He was in the dugout. We had to take him to the hospital after we found out what was wrong.

Mauricio Dubon took over in center when the other one left.

Losing the batting champ for any length of time would be a huge blow to the Astros. The Astros are in good shape for another deep run in the playoffs. Atlanta beat them in the World Series.

He's a huge part of the team. We're not thinking about losing him because he's our big boy. Hopefully, we'll get him back tomorrow.
