A woman from South Africa was sentenced to life in prison in Thailand for her role in a drug ring.

On October 8, 2020, she was arrested for drug dealing after she accepted a package of ecstasy from a delivery man at the restaurant.

The contents of the package were known to the Thai authorities. There was over 260 grams of MDMA in it. The package was given the go-ahead to make the arrest.

She claimed that she was unaware of what was in the package. She was dating an American man at the time of the event.
