According to a filing with the SEC, Luca Maestri, Apple's chief financial officer, sold 96,735 shares of the company's stock in two transactions on Wednesday.
Maestri adopted a trading plan in November 2020 that allowed for the transactions to take place. According to the SEC filing, Maestri still has over 100,000 shares of Apple stock.
Maestri is part of the company's senior executive team. He oversees Apple's accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, investor relations, internal auditing, real estate, business support, and tax functions.
Since mid- June, Apple's stock has increased 32%. Last month, Apple reported a new June quarter record with $83 billion revenue, which was driven by sales of phones and services.
