A speed cuber has solved a cube by combining two moves.

The first person to show proof of combining the last two steps of a mechanical puzzle into a single move is a Rubik's cube Solver.

Speedcubers who compete to solve the final layer of the cube with the most speed and efficiency choose to solve it with two separate moves, one for the final step and another for the last step.

A person needs to memorise 3915 possible sequence to combine the two actions. The Full 1 Look Last Layer is a sequence that was previously known to be possible, but nobody is reported to have achieved it.

Edmarter says he took up the challenge because he saw speedcubers fail. He told New Scientist that over the course of a year, he spent 10 hours each weekend and week practicing and memorising the required sequence. The movements were memorising in a day.

On August 4, 2022, edmarter uploaded a video showing the Full 1LLL over 100 separate solve puzzles. He posted his achievement to the r/cubers community.

The average time he took to solve each cube was 14.79 seconds. He says he had an average solve time of less than one second during two practice runs.

The community of people who like the cube reacted with joy and awe. This is absolutely insane according to the top-voted comment on his post.

He is not giving up on his accomplishments. He plans to practice some other methods for finishing the cube that has only been done by a few people.
