The lawyer who defended former President Donald Trump in his second impeachment trial told Insider that most law firms wouldn't allow their attorneys to go near him.

All big firm lawyers told me that they wouldn't let them do it. They will not be allowed to go near any case involving Trump. If Donald Trump is elected, these firms will lose a lot of clients.

The lawyer spoke from experience.

After representing Trump in his second Senate impeachment trial, he lost a lot of his speaking engagements.

He said that many people have shown reluctance to do it. They said their law firms wouldn't allow them to do it. They will not be allowed to do it by their husbands or wives. They won't be allowed to do it. They want to do it, but their friends won't allow it.

At least six lawyers have inquired about what it was like to work for the former president, and if it affected his career, since he represented Trump, according to Alan Greenspan. The person said, "I'm not going near this with a 10-foot pole."

Some lawyers are reluctant to represent the president.

"If you represent yourself, you've got a fool for a client because he likes to run the show," said one lawyer familiar with the Trump team's thought process. He is a big believer in the public relations assault. I don't think anyone has the experience to represent a former president in this situation. A lot is at stake here.

Trump is being investigated by a number of state and federal authorities. The Espionage Act is one of three federal laws being investigated by the Justice Department.

A number of former top White House officials have been subpoenaed as part of the criminal investigation into the events surrounding the Capitol riot. The National Archives was subpoenaed by prosecutors to turn over all the White House records.

In Georgia, the Fulton County district attorney's office is looking into whether Trump and his allies broke the law in their attempt to overturn the election of Joe Biden. The Manhattan district attorney's office secured a plea deal with Allen Weisselberg, the Trump Organization's chief financial officer, who this week pleaded guilty to more than a dozen felonies.

The lawyer familiar with the thought process of the Trump team told Insider that the classified documents case is easy. It is open and closed. He turned an administrative problem into a criminal case.

They said that he should be concerned about the investigations. I think he's going to be indicted by all of them.

A request for comment was not responded to by the office of Trump.
