If you are struggling to wake up, rubbing sleep dust out of your eyes, yawning theatrically, and waiting for your coffee to finish, you may not have noticed that Lord Morpheus left a present for you to enjoy.
There are two stand-alone issues of the Dream Country graphic novel adapted in the episode. The former is about a cat who seeks out Lord Morpheus and the latter is about an author who captures a Muse. A short trailer is worth watching.
There are a couple of things to keep in mind. The animation in "Night of a Thousand Cats" is stunning. A lot of celebrities took part in the event, including Tom Sturridge, who played the title role. The voice cast for the live-action Calliope is likely to be familiar to Doctor Who fans, but the same can be said for the voice cast for "Cats". It's crazy.
There was a new episode added to the series on August 5. I don't recall the streaming service doing anything like that before, but if the show has been continuing to work on more Sandman beyond the initial 10 episodes, then it's safe to assume they're working on a second season as well.
