According to a report, the Atlanta Braves are trying to keep Dansby.

Jon Heyman of the New York Post reported that the National League East team has opened extension talks with the infielder.

"There's been less whispered pessimism about these talks," Heyman said, noting that the same agency represents Freddie Freeman, who was unable to reach a deal with the Braves.

The re-signing of Braves infielder Dansby Swanson would be a blow to teams who will be searching for a new infielder. There is a chance that all of the players will be free agents after the 2022 season.

After hitting a career-best 27 long balls a year ago, Dansby has 16 home runs and 65 runs scored this season.
