There is a town in California called Watsonville. Two people were killed when two small planes collided in Northern California while trying to land.

The planes crashed at the airport around 3 pm, according to the city ofWatsonville. There is no control tower at the city-owned airport.

According to the FAA, there were two people on the twin-engine Cessna and one person on the single-engine Cessna. Multiple deaths were reported but it was not known if anyone survived.

The FAA said that the pilots were on their way to the airport. The crash is being investigated by the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board.

The people on the ground were not hurt. More than 300 aircraft call the airport home on its website. It handles tens of thousands of operations a year and is used for many businesses.

The manager of the airport was not available for an interview after the crash. 40% of all general aviation activities in the Monterey Bay area are done at the airport.

The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office was referred to by the police department.
