According to Brian Windhorst on Get Up!, the Nets are interested in trading for both players in 2022-23.

According to Windhorst, the Nets want to run this team back, and they're hoping Kevin Durant agrees.

The way they are conducting trade talks and the prices they are asking has teams out there thinking they don't want to trade Kevin Durant anyways. This team wants to come back. We'll see if Kevin is on board with that.

The Miami Heat and Phoenix Suns have been heavily connected to the request for a trade made by Kevin Durant.

The Los Angeles Lakers are said to be willing to part with two first-round picks in order to get Irving.

The Nets haven't moved either of their top two stars with the season less than two months away. The training camp is scheduled to begin in September.

Windhorst was asked if he thought KD and Irving would end up with Brooklyn.

I think the team would like that. The team believes that the results on the court will make everyone feel better. I don't know where Kevin Durant is. He requested a trade and was told no. He wants the coach to lose his job. He wants the general manager to go. He's been told no many times.

Is he going to show up to training camp if he doesn't take all of those 'no's? We will have to wait and watch that.

Irving is going to play for the Nets in 2022-23. He exercised his player option with the team in the summer.

Brooklyn acquired Ben Simmons from the Philadelphia 76ers in a deal that sent James Harden to the other side.

The Celtics swept Brooklyn in the first round of the playoffs. The Nets will play the New Orleans Pelicans on October 19th.
