The world was taken aback by the first images from theJWST. Our universe is revealed in mind-blowing detail in these pictures, from stars being born in dusty nebulae to the oldest galaxies. John and Wendy talked about the past, present and future of JWST during a discussion at Pioneer Works in Brooklyn, New York.

There was a history lesson. Before diving into the history of astronomy, each of them briefly described their own work, and then looked at the history of astronomy and the discoveries made there. They talked about how the Hubble Space Telescope was able to peer into the dark areas of space and see the stars. The next leap after Hubble required a powerful telescope.

It was difficult to build a telescope that could surpass Hubble. The video blur of the intricate telescope-folding process ran on a big screen behind him as he kept his cool.

The scientists explained how the images were taken. The screen in the background was showing a picture. The researchers said they were looking forward to seeing what this telescope could do. The most interesting things that we haven't thought about yet are the ones that are related to astronomy.
