A Denver area man's shocking airport rant went viral on Tik-Tok after he discovered a United Airlines gate agent was scheming to ruin his vacation plans
Sherman Smith, a recent resident of the mile-high city, discovered that a United Airlines gate agent was scheming against him.
Smith was supposed to leave for Miami at 3:35 pm. He received a text from United that his flight was delayed by two hours. Smith was told by the gate agent that the aircraft was delayed due to bad weather.
Smith lamented his misfortune on his Facebook page. He got a message from a friend that questioned the integrity of the gate agent. One of my Facebook friends saw my post about my flight delay. Smith said that he received a message that his mom's hairdresser's son just arrived at the airport. I became suspicious of the gate agent at that time.
Smith's flight was delayed another hour. The gate agent repeated her story about the weather delay when Smith asked about the second delay.
Smith knew the gate agent was lying to him. He screamed in the video that his pants were on fire. There is no bad weather in the area. You are lying to everyone.
The gate agent in the video said, "I'm sorry you feel that way, sir." The agent told us that it was her third day in the job. I didn't think it would happen so soon after I started this job. My face mask hid my identity so that my son wouldn't be offended by my debut.
Smith thinks that the gate agent was targeting his family because he was wearing a Cowboys shirt. The gate agent lied to us and prevented the aircraft from leaving on time.
Smith's flight was held up for over four hours. My kids had to play on their phones in uncomfortable airport seating for several hours, instead of playing on their phones at home. It ruined our entire vacation since we landed late.
The gate agent at the center of the incident may face penalties for her actions.
