Daryll Neita wins bronze in the European Championships 100m
Neita, centre, was beaten to the line by champion Gina Luckenkemper and Mujinga Kambundji in Tuesday's 100m final

Neita was going to compete in the 200m and 4x100m relay at the European Championships, but has decided to rest.

The 25-year-old won a bronze medal in Tuesday's 100m final even though her start was hampered by cramp.

Neita stated that she made the decision after competing at three Championships this summer.

At the Commonwealth Games, she won a bronze medal in the 100m.

Neita reached the semi-finals of the World Championships in Oregon where she was the fastest athlete not to make the final, and also won the British title ahead of Dina Asher-Smith.

She admitted after the Commonwealth Games final that she had to work on her best performance when medals are at stake.

Jodie Williams is the only British person to make the 200m semi-finals.

The British quartet formed for the 4x 100m final. Following Neita's absence, Bianca Williams could step in for Friday's heats.
