A Russian cosmonaut had to abandon his spacewalk due to a battery power issue.

On Wednesday, Artemyev was ordered back to the airlock by Russian controllers.

Mr Artemyev was never in danger according to NASA.

He could have lost his ability to communicate with the controllers.

Mr Matveev was told to drop everything and return, according to the news agency.

It was necessary to get him back to the power supply.

The man returned to the airlock.

Two cameras on the European robotic arm were successfully installed during a spacewalk by the two cosmonauts.

Russia's space agency didn't comment on the incident.

It's not the first time there has been an incident on the International Space Station.

There was a water leak in the helmet of the spacewalker.

Luca Parmitano, Italy's first spacewalker, could not hear or speak because of the leak.

Christopher Cassidy was going to help him get back inside the space station.

The International Space Station has been in space since 1998 and has been crewed since 2000. In its microgravity laboratory, more than 3000 research investigations have been done.

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24th and threatened to quit the project because of Western sanctions.
