Hageman and Trump's representatives did not respond to requests for comment. A representative for the GOP has been reached by Insider.
Trump's victory this week was his biggest so far. The former president said that Cheney could disappear into the depths of political oblivion.
The Lincoln Project, a political action committee dedicated to keeping Donald Trump from being re-elected, was founded by George and other Republicans.
In 2021, the organization's leadership warned that Trump was a clear and present danger, and that they had organized demonstrations to push anti- Trump messages. Political strategists Rick Wilson and Reed Galen are on its board of directors.
