Reddit is going to make it easier to create great bots

The new portal will allow developers to get the resources they need to create bot and other tools. There will be a wait list for the developer platform, which will allow developers to host bot for free and reuse applications across different communities.

U/RemindMeBot is one of the more popular bots on the platform that sends a message to remind you about a certain post or comment. There is a bot that provides summaries of encyclopedia pages and another that converts videos on the platform into links.

Developers on the platform are given limited resources and ad-hoc support. Dedicated tools for developers will be built through the new platform of Reddit.

It is not clear what the platform will offer. The toolkit will allow developers to expand and create bot and automation tools that allow users and admins to have a simpler and more meaningful experience on the site, according to a statement from the company.

The platform will be made available to all developers next year and will include a list of third-party tools that users can use.
