It's a good idea to rip them one day and meet with them the next. The last two days were when Rodgers was trying to get a group of young players ready for the season.
They were told to report to the quarterback meeting room at 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday after Rodgers expressed his displeasure with the group. The three quarterbacks, along with the key members of the offensive coaching staff, were found when they arrived.
Several participants said that Rodgers spoke extensively during the meeting.
Samori Toure said that it was giving them advice. The Green Bay receiving corps has always been held to high standards. The legends have been here. We have to carry on that standard and step up.

Toure, a seventh-round pick, had his best practice of camp when he caught a 50-yard touchdown pass from Jordan Love in a two-minute drill and then converted the two-point conversion.
"He spoke to us about what he likes and what he doesn't like, not just based on concepts or what he sees," said a player who caught a touchdown on Wednesday. "He just wants us to see what he sees, so then we can be able to react faster, play faster, and just be able to dominate and remain who we are."
It was the first time that Rodgers spoke critically about the group trying to replace Adams.
Rodgers called for more consistency and said, "We've got to get better in that area."
He wants us to see what he sees. We can be able to react faster, play faster, and just be able to dominate and remain who we are.
The two veteran receivers spoke during the meeting.
"Randall and Allen have been playing with 12 for a long time so certain things that we do, that we may have a mistake on, just from experience they've gone through that same stage as well." They picking up the young guys throughout the dog days of camp has been a great piece of advice.
If players don't appreciate Rodgers' approach, it doesn't matter. This is what we do here.
Rodgers was upset with mistakes in practice but he also said that the three picks Love threw in last week's preseason opener were largely the result of mistakes by the pass-catchings: a dropped ball by Tyler Davis and a weak route.
This isn't the first time Rodgers and the receiver have met. Rodgers came into the receiver room to explain something.
Love is trying to get everyone on the same page. It's a little different from what he demands. They don't look at him the same way. He has more experience and knowledge than I do. We all want the same thing. Everybody is on the same page when it comes to the receiver's instructions.
