The first trailer for Wednesday from director Tim Burton reminds us that the morose teen has always been a social butterfly. While the people Wednesday Addams deigns to grace with her presence might not enjoy her idea of a good time, that doesn't mean she isn't trying to connect with them.
The first trailer introduces its take on Wednesday, just as she is being expelled from another one of her "normal" schools for scaring her fellow students. If Wednesday is ever going to get a solid education, her parents understand that she needs a school that can cater to her unique preferences.
It is clear from the trailer that Nevermore Academy is a better fit for Wednesday than it is for now. It is difficult to tell if the rest of Nevermore's student body will be prepared for the craziness that will come with Wednesday.
