Jon Daniels is the latest person to be let go by the Texas Rangers, who have spent a lot of money to upgrade their roster.
Daniels had been the president of baseball operations. Chris Young will become the general manager.

The Rangers spent more money in the winter than any other team. They gave out contracts worth $556 million to sign five people.
