The Hybrid Working Genie is out of the Bottle

Excerpt from The Guardian

Firms need to find ways to work that fit in with people's lifestyles.

According to a survey, the most popular day to work from home in the UK is Friday.

More than 50,000 workers were surveyed by AWA in the UK in June and July.

The average attendance was 29% and peaked at 39% in the middle of the week. Less than 20% of workers go in on Mondays and Fridays, so offices are at their quietest on those days.

The hybrid-working genie is out of the bottle due to the Pandemic.

The banking industry had the highest average weekly office attendance rate at 45%, while the tech and logistics industries had the lowest average weekly office attendance rate at 15%.

People came in on average less than one day a week when there was no hybrid-working policy. Employees go into work on average just 2.1 days a week, despite companies trying to force them to attend three days a week.
