The head of Hays Travel's cruise division has told all sales staff to get Ambassador-level certification in order to sell cruises by Christmas.

The target was for all staff to work in the retailer's high street shops and homeworking divisions.

The ambassador certification takes 10 hours to complete.

Ambassador certification adds to the knowledge that a learner has already achieved in their level 1 introduction to cruise sales.

Register for three ship visits with Clia cruise line members and choose 10 elective modules from the 27 available.

There has been an increase in our cruise business. We want everyone to get to Ambassador level by Christmas so they can sell cruises.

It is part of a push for cruises. Suppliers are telling me that we are performing better than the market.

Almost all of Hays agents and homeworkers sell cruises.
