Gareth Bale: Wales captain 'hasn't been 100%'

Los Angeles FC said they are working on Bale's fitness after he sat out a second game in a row.

Since moving to America, Bale has scored two times in four substitute appearances.

Steve Cherundolo said Bale's absence was precautionary.

Cherundolo said that he hasn't been completely.

We are just going along. In the middle of a pre-season for a player, there are aches and pains.

Bale was released by Real at the end of last season and joined LAFC.

LAFC were halfway through their campaign when Bale arrived, but Cherundolo claims they are being treated as if they are in pre-season.

Bale didn't play in the wins against Charlotte and DC United.

Veteran Italian defender Chiellini has not played in LAFC's past two games.

Cherundolo said that trying to get your body in a position where you can play 90 minutes week in, week out in the middle of a season is hard.

We are with both of them at that location. It's just precautionary.

LAFC are nine points in front of the rest of the conference.

Wales will play the USA in the first game of the World Cup in November.
