The former president's impeachment was caused by Parnas' involvement in shadow diplomacy in Ukraine, which resulted in his conviction in October. He became a critic of the president.

The latter trolled Trump after he said he didn't know Parnas and threatened to release a new photo of them together.

On Tuesday, Parnas gave a summary of what he thought was the web of Trump-linked individuals whom he compared to the Mafia.

Parnas likened Trump to the "godfather" while branding Giuliani as Trump's "consigliere" and MarkMeadows as the "underboss."

The capo regime refers to a ranked captain in the Mafia with significant social status. According to Parnas, these were the "capos".

Parnas is not the first person to compare Trump and his associates to the mob. Several Donald Trump allies were compared to Mafia members by a former FBI official.
