The Chorus is an audio accessory that is meant to improve sound quality when using the Meta Quest 2 virtual reality headset. The appeal of the Chorus is that it allows you to remain more present in reality with its open-back, off- ear speakers, similar to the Valve index.
It slides onto each side of the headset, and the speakers can be adjusted to fit your ears. The volume is controlled by the volume rocker. You can keep your headset charged or connect other devices to it with the help of theusb-c port.
The speakers are supposed to deliver the biggest moments and the smallest details in the metaverse, according to the company. They will allow ambient sound into your ears because of their open back nature. There are pros and cons to this approach to designing speakers. Sometimes, they provide warmer, more life-like sound quality, and the open back design could be a safer way to play virtual reality. There is usually very little noise isolation for the listener and for those who are within earshot. These may not be the best solution for people who want privacy in virtual reality.
There isn't a lot of competition here. This could be a worthwhile upgrade for people who don't like the sound of the Quest 2. There are other upgrade routes for Quest 2 owners. In our video detailing some of my favorite features, tips, and recommended add-ons, I mentioned that you could get a similar strap for around the same price, if you wanted good sounding headphones and a set of strap converters. You can plug in any set of wired headphones into the Quest 2.
