An effort by Arizona Republican Gov. Doug Ducey to use shipping containers to close a 1,000-foot gap in the U.S.- Mexico border wall near Yuma suffered a brief setback when two stacked containers somehow fell over.

A correspondent for the digital platform of Univision Noticias in Arizona took a photo of the containers on their side. She said they fell in the U.S.

There are no witnesses to say what happened.

The contractors told her that the containers might have been knocked over by the strong winds.

C.J. Karamargin said that even though the containers are empty they still weigh a lot.

Karamargin suggested that someone opposed to the wall might have been to blame.

By Monday morning, the containers were righted.

We hit a nerve. The spokesman said that they don't want to keep the border open.

The office of the governor acted to stop migrants after the Biden administration failed to fulfill their promises.

Federal officials have not commented on the actions of the state. State contractors are moving and stacking shipping containers. There are two other 1,000-foot gaps. The containers will be covered with razor wire.

The border patrol told the governor's office that the containers had fallen.

He said that those weren't secure yet. The containers were secured to the ground. They will be bolted eventually.
