We were conditioned to expect the good guys to win. Daniel LaRusso did not lose a tournament in the movie. Daniel and Johnny Lawrence were united in their desire to see Terry Silver and his followers lose at the All Valley Tournament. Unfortunately for them, Terry rigged the tournament in his favor, and now the only game in town is Cobra Kai.
The kids of the valley chose Cobra Kai over Daniel's Miyagi-Do Karate after the victory. Terry has bigger ambitions than just ruling the karate scene. He wants to serve as his fellow instructors, so he called in a backup. With Johnny out of town, Daniel had to turn to Chozen Toguchi, the man he once faced in The Karate Kid Part II.
Johnny has a lot of work to do before he can return to town. Johnny wants to repair his relationship with his son and bring back his former student in a single trip. Johnny doesn't know how to help the two of them find common ground because they hate each other
Johnny will return to the valley to fight with Danny and Chozen. Johnny and Chozen seem to want to teach the instructors a lesson they will never forget. John Kreese is going to return and he is not letting prison wear him down.
The fifth season of Cobra Kai will premiere on the streaming service.
