A year ago, a UK-based robotics company made a big splash with a demo of its humanoid robot.

It's back, and it's serving up even more realistic facial expressions.

In a new video, the Ameca humanoid looks into a mirror and contorts its face into expressions of disbelief, disgust, and even regret.

It's another example of the power of cutting-edge robotics and could be a sign of things to come.

Robot Awakening

The company took a jab at the attempt by the company to build a robot. An employee watches a video of the car company's decision to use a dancer in a stretchy suit for an actual humanoid robot.

According to the website, Ameca is the "world's most advanced human shaped robot." Researchers will be able to study the interaction between humans and machines.

There are a lot of appearances by the robot at events. At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, engineered arts showed off its creation.

"We've all seen it in the movies, we've all seen 'I, Robot' and 'AI Artificial Intelligence,'" Morgan said. Suddenly, that's true.

Ameca will mostly be serving in the "service robotic" field and won't be mingling with real humans for a long time.

The robot with the super spooky facial expressions is back.
