South Africa is expected to be talking before the first Test at Lord's starts.

The longevity of the attacking style that has seen England win all four of their home Tests this summer was questioned by the captain.

We don't talk about it all the time. "It's them, they're the ones."

They play how they play.

The tourists lost the warm-up match against the England Lions by annning.

There is a new England style. The opener said that he doesn't think there's longevity in brave cricket because he sees things happening over time in Test cricket.

Things could have been very different if New Zealand had taken their opportunities. They would have had an egg on their face.

The opposition seem to be doing a lot of talking when asked about Elgar's comments. We don't talk about it a lot, we just focus on what we do.

I am happy for Dean and the South Africa team to say they are not interested.

He said he was not going to entertain that anymore. We've talked about it a lot. I just want to play with the ball.

Mudslinging isn't something I like to do anymore. We won't go back and forth.

There is one change to the England side for the first Test.

Ben Foakes is back after missing the victory over India.

South Africa are waiting on the fitness of Kagiso Rabada, who has an ankle injury.

The last time Rabada played in a Test at Lord's, he was suspended for swearing.

England will face a South Africa side who are top of the World Test Championship table and have lost only one of their past six series

James Anderson will be the leader of their attack in his first Test since turning 40.

Anderson will be the first specialist fast bowler to play a Test for England after the age of 40.

He is 40 years old and doing what he does. It's time to call him a freak at that age.

If you look after yourself, he is an incredible ambassador for the Test game and fast bowlers in the future.

I think you can be the best in the world. We are fortunate to have him.

The England team for the first Test against South Africa will be announced on Thursday.
